One year of AI for people

Today we are celebrating Silo.AI’s one-year birthday. During our first year we have had the pleasure to work with as many as 37 clients helping them build artificial intelligence solutions. Each project has brought us new learnings both in terms of ways of working as well as building tailored solutions, especially covering human-machine co-operation.This has lead us to also explore the underlying, deeper meaning of our work. While the democratization of AI is still close to our hearts, we felt it’s as such not fully reflecting all of our core values. Our purpose should incorporate the way our human-centric solutions are impacting people both in individual projects and the society as a whole. Rooted in not only our core values and beliefs, but also our learnings and projects, we have defined our purpose as AI for People with a vision of a world with safe human-centric AI that frees the human mind for meaningful work. Our concrete mission is to accelerate human-machine co-operation for collective intelligence. This is a bold vision but we have also taken several concrete steps towards it by building high impact human-in-the-loop solutions for our customers.We are creating new ways of working for human-machine co-operation: many times, the combination of human expertise and machine-driven insights is the most powerful strategy. Human-in-the-loop solutions capture data from every human interaction and make entire organisations more intelligent. Our solutions help employees become more productive by allowing humans to focus on more meaningful work, while letting the AI do the heavy lifting. Simply put, we amplify people by automating repetitive tasks and empowering humans for creative work.During the past year, we have focused on high impact use cases, ranging from leveraging AI in retail, finance, manufacturing, recruiting and many other application areas. All of these cases are heavy in data and every transaction generates more data, which further improves the process.
