Teppo Kuisma takes the lead of Silo AI’s international growth

With a passion for creating impact with the help of AI, Teppo has more than 20 years of experience in business development with several global executive roles and startups at his back.

This year Silo AI has reached the milestone of 100 employees. With international global clients such as Philips, Allianz and Huawei, we have also taken steps to further expand our business abroad. We now operate from six offices, out of which three are in Finland (Helsinki, Turku, Oulu) and three abroad (Stockholm, London, Palo Alto).

To better serve our international client base, we’re next year focusing on building out AI labs in new markets, with Teppo Kuisma as our lead for internationalization. Teppo joins us after having spent a few years on the US West Coast, and is now focusing full speed on building new sites to create valuable long-term partnerships to better serve both new and existing international clients.

European companies need cutting-edge AI Expertise

With more than 20 years of experience in international business development, Teppo wants to help European companies remain on top of AI-driven product development and R&D:

“Having now spent the past few years in Silicon Valley, I truly believe artificial intelligence is key in transforming the way value is created with products. We want every company to have a PhD-level R&D team readily available, and we are here to bring it to them.” Teppo says.

“We worked with Teppo already while he was in San Francisco, and now we’re more than happy to have him take the lead of our international expansion. Teppo’s long experience in expanding to new markets and building strong partnerships with global accounts is extremely valuable in our continued expansion to new markets.” Peter Sarlin, CEO of Silo AI says.

Silo AI works with production-level AI projects, in which we get to build AI-driven products to enable our core segments smart industry and vehicles, smart devices and networks, and smart cities and citizens. Our world-class team seeks to work with the most strenuous challenges that require both deep technical expertise and extensive experience, in order to form strategic partnerships.

“More than half of the Silo AI team holds a PhD in machine learning or other relevant fields. Our growth is based on our unique combination of top-notch scientific AI competence paired with a solid track record in building industry applications. ” Teppo continues.

Lab-like working model to work as part of R&D teams

Together with our clients, we’re focusing on building long-term competitive advantage through high-impact projects. By staying on top of the latest methods and technologies through both theory and practice, we enable our clients to stay ahead of the ongoing AI-adoption wave.

“We’ve worked on hundreds of production-level AI projects, in which we’ve learned to understand, verify and deliver.” Teppo says. “Our way of working aims to build a partnership with the client, where we challenge them to ask why and focus on how they can improve their value creation with AI. Onboarding these technologies to your operations is not just scattered pilots here and there, it requires strategy and understanding.”

We’re thrilled to have Teppo join us to build our international growth to the next level!
