Welcome to Silo AI, ex-CIO of Tesco & Nokia, John Clarke

We’re happy to announce that the former CTO of Tesco, ex-CIO of Nokia and ex-CEO of Mind Foundry John Clarke is joining Silo AI as Senior Advisor and AI Solution Strategist. With his extensive corporate and consultancy background especially within finance (Boston Consulting Group, E&Y, Barclays), retail (Tesco, Woolworth Australia, Morrisons) and industry 4.0, John will as a strategic adviser help us on our journey of becoming the next European flagship AI company.

John is a long-term digital transformation and technology advocate, with a solid background in building intelligent platform services and products that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence. Most recently he served as CEO at Mind Foundry, a technology spin-out from the University of Oxford’s Machine Learning Research Group.

During his career, John has been involved in various kinds of technology and digitisation roles and projects, applying strategic thinking and executive leadership. We at Silo AI are thrilled to add John’s in-depth knowledge of the global AI market and next-generation business services to our team.

Although John will be keeping the London office busy with our clients, Finland is by no means a strange place for John who has also served as Global CIO and Senior Vice President at Nokia. John will be mostly focusing on new opportunities and extending our relationships in the UK, but also visiting our Helsinki office from time to time.
